CONFETTISYSTEM is Nicholas Andersen and Julie Ho, a fanciful duo that act as artists, stylists, designers and keepers of a magical menagerie of sparkles.
CONFETTISYSTEM was born when they combined their love of communal celebration and craft-making and started transforming everyday materials such as tissue paper, cardboard, and silk into interactive objects that ‘create a point of focus, where memories are made and a spontaneous collaboration with the viewer is sparked.’
Their nostalgic creations harken back to childhood parties; ice cream cakes, candy-coloured balloons and leftover streamers. All in all, light-hearted, shimmering fun that makes you want to put on your party and fall back onto a cushion of confetti magic.
CONFETTISYSTEM art directs and creates installations and sets for the fashion and music industry. They’ve worked with the likes of United Bamboo, Opening Ceremony, the American Ballet Theatre and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. They have been exhibited in art galleries and museums in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and Holland and have been featured in the NY Times, New York Magazine and V Magazine, among others.
