Man, I am in love with this glorious clash of the plaids that I spied on Jak & Jil.
There is a vintage plaid skirt in my wardrobe that has been haunting me for months now. I put it on, scrutinise it from various angles, pair it with a Peter Pan collar and a fuzzy jersey, and am forced to conclude that I look like Alicia Silverstone in Clueless, sans coordinating knee socks and obligatory sidekick. I’ve always been a big Cher Horowitz fan, but the outfit makes me feel like Paul Rudd in flannel is going to press play on the Cranberries any second.
This plaid on plaid symphony might just be the thing to take the pep rally undertones out of my skirt and replace them with a little offbeat edge.
