At last night’s British Fashion Awards 2010, held at the Savoy Hotel, the votes tallied up to produce a line up of deserving winners, including:
Model of the year, Danish dazzler, Lara Stone
Special Recognition Award winner and diva deluxe, Naomi Campbell (for 25 years in the industry)
Emerging Talent duo, Meadham Kirchhoff
Designer of the year, Phoebe Philo for Celine
Outstanding Achievement in Fashion Design, awarded posthumously to Alexander McQueen
And everyone’s style sweetheart, Alexa Chung, for the Brit Style Award
How many award shows are there out there? I didn’t even know they had these…

I love the doll-like white lace dress. I want something similar but women don’t get away with wearing things like that in Jakarta… 😦
the celine collaboration had to be my favorite of the year

I know! I have spent so much time ogling their slingback clogs, it is actually embarrassing.
“Style” pix are always just crazy enough to make me smile…
Thanks for the post!
The model of the year scared me. I don’t think I am cut out for the fashion world.
She has got an edgy look, but I like that she is shapely rather than angular like a lot of other models. And she manages to be both beautiful and severe all at once.
